What are tufting skills?

I’ve made about 10 rugs so far, and I’m always experimenting and trying different techniques to improve the quality and make cleaner, more beautiful rugs.
My goal is to be able to create rugs like his:

I especially admire how clean and precise his carving is, and I would love to achieve that level of quality in my own work.
What do you think I’m missing or need to improve?
Is it my carving skills, the way I’m tufting/packing the yarn, the type of yarn I’m using, or perhaps my equipment?
I would really appreciate any advice or feedback you can give me.

Tufting problem with yarn( in EUROPE )

I have a question for those of you who are experienced with tufting yarn.
After looking at a lot of beautiful rugs on Instagram and other platforms, I tried to find out what kind of yarn people were using. From what I’ve gathered, many tufting artists seem to use Red Heart or Loop & Threads yarn (size 4).
Since I live in Europe, those brands are quite expensive to buy here. Do you have any recommendations for good alternatives that are easier to find in Europe?
The yarn I’m currently using is too thin, so I can’t achieve the look and quality I’m aiming for.
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you!
