Grandads old axe before and afters! (First restoration - won’t be the last)

Inherited this axe from my grandfather and have started cleaning it up. Am hoping for some insight into its history/age (anything really!)

So far I’ve identified the maker’s mark as what appears to be the older S.A. Wetterlings (SAW) logo. I’m guessing it’s an old felling axe as the head is 4½ lb and is fitted to a 32” handle.

Does the small mark beneath the SAW logo indicate anything?
Has anyone got a similar Wetterlings with the same logo and weight stamp?

Think it’s is still on the original handle (but damaged). Plan is to remove the head, clean the eye, and rehang it on a new handle while preserving as much of the original character as possible.

Any information on the history or age would be greatly appreciated!
