Is the bigger screen on the higher-end Ledgers actually worth it?

Trying to work out if the nicer screen/UI really makes a difference once you’ve been using it for a while.

If you were buying a Ledger today, would you pay extra for that, or just get the simpler model? What actually made the difference for you?

What almost talked you out of getting a hardware wallet?

I’ve been reading up on hardware wallets lately, and honestly, the part that gets me isn’t picking a brand — it’s all the stuff that can go wrong around it.

For people who ended up getting one, what was the thing that almost made you not buy it?

Was it the setup, recovery, trusting the company, using it with a phone, price, or just feeling like it was more hassle than it was worth?

And for anyone who decided not to get one, what made you stick with your current setup?

Genuinely curious where people get stuck before they buy.

Disclosure: I’m researching hardware-wallet buying decisions and have an interest in this product category. I’m not posting a link or asking anyone to buy anything.

Which Ledger model did you end up choosing, and why?

Trying to understand how people actually choose between the Ledger models.

Which one are you using, and what made you pick it? Anything you like, dislike, or wish you’d known before buying?

Would you choose the same one again today?

Disclosure: I’m have a commercial interest in Ledger-related products. I’m asking for genuine user feedback, not trying to pass this off as an independent review.

Is the seed phrase the actual backup?

I used to think the hardware wallet was the backup, but now I’m not so sure.

Feels like the seed phrase is really the thing that matters if the device ever dies or gets lost.

>How do you guys think about it? Do you treat the seed as the real backup, or just part of the setup?
Would love to hear how people here handle it in real life

What do you care about most in a cold wallet?

Curious what actually matters to people here when picking a cold wallet.

What was the main reason you chose yours, and what brand are you using now?

I’m trying to figure out what real users care about most — security, ease of use, price, open source, or something else.

Nano X owners — would you buy it again?

Been thinking about getting a Nano X, but I’m still on the fence. IDK if it’s actually worth it or if I should just go with another option.

For people who actually use one, what made you pick it over the others? What do you like about it, and is there anything annoying or unexpected?

Trying to get some real-world feedback before I pull the trigger. Not looking for marketing stuff. If you’ve had one for a while, I’d love to hear what’s been good and what’s been annoying. Thanks

Do people still use metal seed plates?

Just curious what people are actually doing these days.

Do most of you still use a metal seed plate, or is paper + a safe still fine for you?

If you do use one, which type do you like most — stamped titanium, engraved steel, or one of those word/number tile setups?

Trying to figure out what’s worth buying and what’s overkill.

A few comments from the community show people still recommend metal backup for durability, but they also point out it only helps with fire/water damage and doesn’t solve theft risk...
