is anyone else terrified to start college

obviously i’m so grateful to be coming to uofm and im super excited to meet new people/take classes i actually enjoy but at the same time im terrified of the fact that im moving 12 hours away from literally all my family and friends (they’re all going to college in state). i’m not super introverted but in highschool i kinda just found my group and stuck with them. it was never super hard for me to be well acquainted with people i dont know, but i feel like i dont rly get super close with others and the idea of having to go out and make entirely new friends is honestly terrifying for me. i know everyone else is in the same boat but im just terrified i wont make friends or i wont actually have any close friends, just people im well acquainted with. i know theres clubs, parties, classes, etc where i can meet people ig im just nervous abt being in a completely new place while knowing pretty much no one. maybe im getting overly nervous when i dont need to be idk. sorry for my rant lol

helpful accommodations in college?

i’m going into my first year of college and i know i have to request accommodations with my university (i probably should’ve done this earlier but ive been procrastinating…). i had a 504 throughout highschool for adhd and anxiety and my given accommodations were as follows:
- 1.5x time on tests, quizzes, etc.
- extended time without penalty on take home assignments (if communicated with the teacher beforehand)
- i think i had the ability to request guided notes from a teacher (but it was never really honored when i asked)
- 5 minute “movement breaks” once per class if i needed (idk why this was even put down bc the time limit stressed me out so i never used it)

those are basically all the accommodations i remember having/using. i also got diagnosed with severe depression in the middle of my senior year and i ended up missing a lot of school days during the year and fell behind. tbh this just made a lot of things worse for me in terms of tine management and stayed on top of school work. i’m medicated/getting help now but im terrified im gonna have a repeat of that in my first year of college.
my university lets me request new accommodations if i explain why i need them- is there any accommodations i should consider adding? i would probably want to keep everything i have except the 5 minute break thing. also general tips on adhd/anxiety/depression management in college?

schedule help!!!

So i’m an incoming freshman and i’m trying to figure out my schedule for 1st sem- i need to take a calc 1 class but my only options are MWF 3-5 or TuTh 6-8. I have 3 other classes MWF before calc but basically no classes on tuesday or thursday, but idk if it’s the best idea for me to take a class so late in the day. i wanna be involved in student orgs and other on campus stuff and im wondering if taking a class that late would conflict? it’s either that or i take 4 classes basically back to back every other weekday😭
