Going through my first flare after getting diagnosed in December of 2024. I genuinely thought I was through the worst of it after getting diagnosed and getting put on Imuran which was working amazingly for me for the past year and a half. Got placed on antibiotics for a seperate infection and Lo and behold one month before a big trip with my friends Im having a flare with frequent ish stools which arent complete water but have frequent blood and my calprotectin came back as 1320. I guess my question really is does this mean that my gastro would want to do another colonoscopy( I despise the prep) and the steps after does this mean I have to get of Imuran completely? Or could this be managed through a course of steroids and increase in imuran because I’m personally 90% sure this flare is caused by the antibiotics since before I was diagnosed I was also on the same antibiotics and had very similar symptopms before diagnosis.

lowk stressign about not going to the trip since ive been looking forward for it for 6 months.
