What's something you wish you knew before your first liveaboard?

I've been on a few trips now and feel like there are "unwritten rules" no one tells you until you're already on board.

For me it was:

•how quickly you lose track of time

•how important dry bags are

•how little you care about your phone after day 1

•how much incredible food I'd consume

Curious what caught others off guard

First time on a liveaboard totally changed how I see the ocean

I didn't expect it to feel so different than day diving.

Something about waking up surrounded by the sounds of the ocean and nothing but blue. Hot coffee and a sunrise. No distractions, no rush, just amazing food and diving.

It didn't feel like a destination, it felt cozy. It's a vibe!

Has anyone else had this shift after their first liveaboard trip?
