i had my biopsy and they did a mammogram after to be sure market was in place (which it is)… but I notice there is an asterisk type symbol on two of the images… is this something I should be concerned about? Anyone know?

my biopsy is on Wednesday, just 6 months ago they assured me it was just a fibroadenoma… now the lump has doubled and changed shape and there is a chance I have cancer

I (38 f) found a lump 6 months ago and had a mammogram and ultrasound done, they were fairly certain it was a fibroadenoma, the mass was oval and labeled BI-RADS 3

fast forward to today, the mass is now bilobed and has more than doubled in size. My chart calls it as a “Bilobed solid Hypoechoic mass with internal heterogeneity”. BI-RADS 4a

I have a biopsy scheduled next week. I am terrified bc while researching my age, it is not common to have a rapid growing fibroadenoma. I am terrified I have cancer.
