In the sea of buy and sell posts, I just want to casually talk about Nyota as collectors.

What do you like about Nyota? Who is your favorite from each series? If you could keep only one Nyota, which one would it be? Unpopular Nyota opinions?.. Anything that comes to mind.

Personally, I absolutely love the little details. I feel like every time I pick up any of my Nyotas, I discover something new: a tiny pattern on the dress I hadn’t noticed before, the unevenness in plastic, the little label.

I love the ambiguity of her facial expression - I can “assign” her any emotion. Sometimes I could swear she’s smiling, other times she’s frustrated with Lumi, and sometimes she’s just being reflective.

There’s no such thing as a wrong Nyota pull - but I’ve noticed that I don’t gravitate toward “crowd favorites” - I love my Genesis and Halo Star but I wouldn’t have chosen them per se, I find them a little bleak for my liking.

1. ~**150ml HHM zini pot**, purchased from a verified Yixing eBay seller lukevecent. A stunning pot, beautiful engravings all around it, the cutest bunny seal; a very versatile shape and efficient pour. Sad to part ways with it but it’s a bit too large for me. $150 + shipping

2. READ ME!! **170ml Di Cao Qing (Zini)** pot by Shouzhen Workshop from early 2010s. Excellent craftsmanship, wonderful shape. It has a hairline crack on the exterior. I’ve used it for over a year and it never spread, but I cannot guarantee longevity beyond this evidence. $80 + shipping

I feel like she hasn’t gotten enough love quite yet. She’s so cute! I love the differently designed eyes, gazing upward.
