Does the amount of sweat produced while exercising affect overall performance?

As part of health improvement since having diagnosed with diabetes, I'm trying to do walks with the treadmill as a stepping stone for exercising. But when I do so I heat up pretty quickly and sweat a lot so I try to use a fan to cool myself off while doing the exercise. I notice I definitely last a bit longer on the treadmill with the fan but I'm wondering whether that would affect the exercise in any way.

Trying out Intermittent Fasting to improve health

So after 30 years of indulgent lifestyle I finally got convinced to get my health checked and found out I have diabetes. Honestly not sure how long I've had it since I never really noticed signs of it even now. I'm currently 120kg and the doctor recommended me to try and lose a third of it, and googling up weight loss techniques I've read that intermittent fasting is one of the effective ways of doing it. I'm currently a week in though I can't really say that cause I more or less keep on breaking it more or less every other day. I was wondering if people can provide a bit more insight on what to do.

I'm currently trying a 16:8 fast attempting to skip dinner but there are times where the hunger keeps me awake when I try to sleep so I tend to try and sate it instead or I won't have energy for the morning, even if I have breakfast.

My breakfast is usually toast with eggs and sausage or bacon or overnight oats with bananas or blueberries. Lunch is kinda whatever's available.
