Recording launcher clips : how to stop it from quantizing the length ?
I'm not sure the title explains my issue so I'll try to be more precise lol.
Whenever I record a launcher clip, audio or MIDI, when I stop the recording (using the space bar) the clip end is quantized to the next beat.
So, let's say I record something where the last note or audio ends at 3.2.2.0 (let's call it "irregular beat end") If I stop recording at that exact moment, the clip doesn't end there, instead going up to the next "regular beat start" which is 4.1.1.0.
In other words, Bitwig doesn't let me decide when a launcher clip stops, and stretches the clip so it will loop "perfectly". So I have to manually drag the loop end back where I actually want the clip to loop. The clip length is quantized.
If I want unequal, unquantized of clips to loop at the same time, I have to go back and edit each clip by hand, which makes it impossible to do it live.
I could of course create empty clips at different length and record overdubbing, but that takes away from the spontaneous improvisation.
Is there a way to prevent that ?
If my explanation isn't clear I could post a video to explain better.
Thanks
