Its odd because I thought their was reporting that Pete and the Mets had talked, I remember there was a big thing about them not reaching out during the winter meetings or whatever, but it seems like there wasnt any conversations? And the article ap links is just about Pete saying no contract was offered. (which isnt new because you dont insult someone by offering them a lesser contract)

edit: To make this clear I dont care that Pete was let go or Nimmo was traded. I care about how the FO treats free agents. my concern is more how if this makes the org less attractive because the FO doesn’t make an effort to retain a fan favorite, something I assume players do care about.
