Anyone gotten diagnosed with Prurigo Nodularis while living in mold?

My family member developed it all over his body and then I developed it on my scalp and a spot on my face, both of us flared around the same time a few months into moving into a really moldy home.

I’ve seen various people on an MCAS Facebook page say they have prurigo nodularis, and I know mold can trigger MCAS. I also have suspected MCAS.

Also have seen a few individuals in a mold toxicity Facebook page say black mold caused their prurigo nodularis. Though no literature exists connecting the two it seems.

Trying to see if anyone in this subreddit has also been dealing with Prurigo.

Can’t be a coincidence that both my family member and I developed it at the same time in the same moldy home😭 .

Anyone tested for mold toxicity and then Lyme disease via western blot but only one (moderately Lyme specific) band came up reactive? (28 kd IgG band)

I am being tested for co-infections and for lupus my ANA is negative (again) though my complement levels C4C are borderline low and C3C as well but not as low as C4C.

And then for Lyme disease western blot test only thing that came up reactive was the 28 kd IgG band which I’ve been told is unimportant.

Anyone had similar results?

Was anyone diagnosed with OCD from mold exposure/while in mold?

OCD can include contamination OCD (as it’s widely recognized as) but also other “subtypes” of OCD involving intrusive thoughts and/or compulsions and spiraling from them. Anyone diagnosed with OCD while in mold?

Did anyone’s B vitamin levels drop moreso notably only months after** leaving a toxic mold home?

Hi,

An integrative doctor tested my vitamin and trace mineral/elements levels about 2 months after leaving a toxic mold ridden home (with chaetomium, stachy, aspergillus, penicillum, etc)..and then recently again but now it 9 months after leaving the home. I haven’t detoxed yet, just been on a low histamine diet for the most part.

I have heterozygous mthfr c667 ands slow comt (met/met).

The only levels I noticed dropping while in** the home that were tested for by a gp 3years ago when I first moved into the home were vit b12 and vit d.

My b1 (thiamine) 2 months after leaving the home was 138 (I was surprised it wasn’t loweras I’ve heard mold depletes b1) and

now 8 months later it’s 93. Same for the other b vitamins (also all trending downwards) and folate is 3.2 (low, lower than it was 2 months after leaving the home when it was 7.8)

Is this a common phenomenon where vitamins will trend towards borderline low even though you left the moldy home months ago? The only one that is back up in normal range is my Vit d.ferriton is also 15 now (with otherwise other normal iron markers).

If negative ANA but lowish C3 and C4 in red…does this mean no lupus?

Hello, I’m new to this subreddit. I’m having many tests run by my integrative doctor to get to the bottom of my symptoms. Of the many she ran, she is also checking for lupus and these were the results (I haven’t spoken to her yet). I’ve seen individuals say that a negative ANA for Lupus doesn’t necessarily rule it out. Would anyone be able to shed some light on what these values could mean? Thank you so much.

TGF-B1, VEGF, trace mineral panel results. CIRS or cannot tell yet?

I received TGF-b1 (6099) and VEGF (<31) results. I learned that Quest changed the range for tgf-b1 in 2024, so my results are “in range” although I’ve read per shoemaker protocol that above 2380 is elevated.

I’ve been been out of my moldy home since September and haven’t started treatment/binders. Just low histamine diet.

My integrative doctor hasn’t ordered the rest of the biomarkers that go with these ones, but she ordered trace minerals panel. My latest ferritin, b12, folate are in the low ranges.

Development of food intolerances (IgE mediated) to nuts, corn, and/or wheat?

Did anyone else develop an allergy to corn/maize, wheat, different nuts (ie peanuts, walnuts, hazelnuts), or sesame seeds from mold/mycotoxins?

Confirmed via IgE blood test. Did you know it was related to mold/mycotoxins in your home right away or did it take you time to figure out the connection?

What symptoms do you experience if so?

Did a doctor connect it to MCAS?

This is my childhood home I’ve lived in for over 25 years that I’ve recently moved back into after leaving a severely mold infested home 6 months ago that I lived in for 3 years. Childhood home has history of water leaks.

These pictures are in the laundry room in the basement. wall behind the exposed exposed Sheetrock is made of stone.

I’ve been OCD about mold and since moving back into my childhood home I keep pointing out that this could also have been a source of long tem exposure while growing up.

This is bad is it not?
