House Flippers plumbing had 17 volts ac. Advice please
House flippers had me under a house and the copper line shocked me mildly. Multimeter read anywhere from 7-18 volts ac.
After working an hour and getting parts on site is when I was shocked. They needed more work done than they originally thought (based on home inspector saying it only needed a trap) so my price had to go up. Most existing plumbing wasn’t even glued up and leaked everywhere, plus it was so very wrong it couldn’t drain if it wasn’t leaking.
Owners weren’t on site so I stopped for the day until electric was resolved. The next guy (for second opinion) was able to show up the next morning and under bid me by $200 since the parts were already there and I had worked an hour. They couldn’t make sense of it and had to save 200 even though they owed me 160 at that point. I think they just wanted someone ignorant to the electrical issues?
I can almost guarantee the electrical issue wasn’t resolved, as they wanted to flip the breaker and let me get back to work so they can close. Initially didn’t think it was a big deal until I did some googling
Should I report this? And how? I worry for the next people to enter or work on that house
