Getting Botox in my pelvic floor next week. Nervous!!

Hi guys, as the headline says I’m getting Botox in my pelvic floor and around my pudendal nerve next week. I’ve really dreaded doing anything that involves needles in that area but I feel like I’m running out of non invasive options.

I guess I’m writing this to ask if any of you have experience with having Botox in your pf?

I’ve really been going through it trying to find something that will help me.. So far I’ve seen several gynos, physical therapists, a psychologist, urologist, been to so so many dr appointments over the past almost three years of this. I’ve tried estrogen cream, supplements, more water, vaginal moisturizers, switching my birth control, stretches/belly breathing, a pelvic wand and honestly the list goes on. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Even tried nortriptyline, but it made my heart go crazy so had to stop only after three months on it

It’s reeeally getting old trying to figure this out😅 thanks for reading/listening. Please let me know if you have any advice 🙏🏼

Still having heart palpitations after stopping nortriptyline?

Hi, I’m still experiencing heart palpitations and increased anxiety 5 weeks after my last dose of nortriptyline.. Is this normal??

I had to taper down quite fast as my heart rate was too high, doctors orders. I went from 40 down to 0mg in about 3 weeks time.

I started taking 10mg for pain in mid march and slowly went up to 40mg. After a couple of weeks on 40mg I started noticing my resting heart rate being too high. Went to the doctors.. Had and ECG, blood pressure, pulse and was told to stop the med because of my increased heart rate. My heart rate has since gone down to normal. Only thing left are my daily palpations. More annoying than anything but still, I was never like this pre nortriptyline.

Anyone else experienced something similar. I’m 30 F and on no other meds except the birth control pill.

Have to quit nortriptyline just as it’s starting to work..

Hi guys, I could really use some advice about next steps. Been on nortriptyline since march. Slowly upped the dosage over time and started taking 40mg two- almost three weeks ago. It made a difference almost immediately and my pain has really decreased.

HOWEVER.. Now my heart rate is going crazy. Racing heart, palpitations, lightheaded, tight chest. Had a dr appt today and while nothing was wrong with my blood pressure and ECG, my resting heart rate is too high and it’s really uncomfortable. She advised me to go back down to 30mg and if it doesn’t resolve, she wants me to come off it. Super frustrating as I feel I’ve been tolerating it really well up until 40mg. Problem is I gave 30mg 8 weeks and saw almost no change in pain😕

What kind of pain relief has been most successful for you? Cause it’s looking like I have to try something else. Gyno wants to try nerve block and pt suggests Botox. Kind of scared to try both as I’ve heard/read so many negative stories🙃

Any advice is appreciated❤️

Nerve meds dosing help

Hi, so I’m on nortriptyline and trying to go slow with upping the dose. I started with 10mg in march and now I’m on 30mg.. No help with symptoms yet. Been on 30mg for seven weeks.

I see some people get relief from their pain at really low doses and was hoping I was one of those people too.. Apparently not.

At what dose did you start feeling relief? It’s so tiring constantly trying things that make no difference. Trying to be patient but some days it’s hard.
