In terms of depravity, who are the worst : the cosmopolitan pre-Fall Eldar or the Drukhari ?

I’ve read many times that the Drukhari are the representation of how dark the vast majority of Eldars had fallen before the birth of Slaanesh, but is it really true ?

Are the Drukhari a controlled version of the pre-Fall Eldars or did they manage to surpass them in their depravity ?

It makes my body twitch a little bit whenever I think too deeply about how they could look like.

The simple fact of the average Eldar being much more sensitive regarding their emotions compared to a human is already crazy enough.

And look at the messed up stuff our billionaires currently engage in. All the creepy, bizarre fetishes that people in our world partake.

Now applying that to a race of beings that feel much much intensely and passionately than us, who have had millions of years of pure utopia and boredom, having experienced every avenue, every sensation, every fetish, every obsession, still trying to go even deeper than that.

Imagine some Eldars competing for thousands of years on how to make the most tasteful wine ever, going down the rabbithole of cannibalizing other Eldars and blending them into it.

Others competing for the most beautiful bridge ever, eventually building them out of sentient flesh.

Entire countries competing with one another on who’s going to make the most extreme and beautifully tragic country-wide mass suicide in history.

Of course i’d imagine countless exemples of Eldars indulging in « harmless » mutlti-millenia obsessions, but the vast majority of them were influenced by Chaos at the very end so it had to be horrifyingly ugly everywhere.

The flashbacks in Asurmen : Hand of Asuryan and Fist of Demetrius (?) were amazing for the insight that they gave to us, but sadly they (understandably) weren’t able to realistically portray how horrifying, how otherworldly, how bizarre the cosmopolitan Aeldari societies were in the couple thousand years before the birth of Slaanesh.

It seems to be nearly impossible to imagine how truly depraved and strange everything was, let alone writing about it in a book and publish it.
