[Question] Modern Frigerators and the Freezer freezing over.
Is there anyway to get away from this issue, where Fridges eventually have the issue where they Freeze over or the Freezer side Freezes over?
Issue 1
I've got a Samsung (was given to me), where it freezes over in the fridge, and water accumulates into the drawer. I've fixed this a few times and have cleared it out. But now the Freezer section doesn't want to cool/freeze. So, I am at a loss with that one, it doesn't appear that there are issues with the fans or cooling. Thoughts on this issue?
Issue 2
My MIL fridge has now taken to Freezing over on the Freezer size. I recently (about 3 months or so ago) defrosted the freezer's ice/water area, and Now it appears (I haven't seen it yet, but will once I am off work today), has taken to completely freezing over (from what I am told, no photos yet). So there's that. Thoughts on this as well other then the normal review of items listed here and online to do?
- Check Drain tube/drain blockage
- Check Evaporator fan icing over
- Check Door gasket / air leak
- Manual Defrost, etc
Is there anyway to get around this or a good Appliance to go with? Our Inside Fridge/Freezer is good, but my MIL just goes and gets one without checking (especially the dimensions). Forgive me if this has been asked and listed. I'll follow up and look with a list, its just frustrating to get bothered by, yet she doesn't listen when they purchase... Cheers and Thanks all.
Edit:
My 2nd fridge that is for Issue 1, is a Top Fridge / Bottom Freezer drawer (Samsung if I remember correctly)
Issue 2 fridge is a Side by side LG LSXS26326S /11.
