So this is my little boy, Lime. He's three years old and and quite the sparkplug. He is very playful and clever and incredibly social. He wants to be around us all the time, just to hang out and observe or (more frequently) destroy and disassemble whatever he can.
He came to us as a rehomed bird. And we have loved him since day one.
I live in Sweden. At work I passed a cockatiel sitting high up in a birch tree, it must have escaped from some nearby home. I'm now trying to catch it so that it can stay with me until I locate the owner.
I went to the local pet shop and bought a travel cage, some seed mix and millet spray. I'm hoping that this scorching heat will have made it hungry and thirsty. I also play some cockatiel calls on my phone.
What else can I do? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
After coaxing the bird for four hours I managed to locate the owner. I now hope that the bird will make it's way home.
