How important is it to include all jobs on an application/profile?

I’m an older job seeker and have worked since college in the 90s. I recently lost out on two excellent jobs I thought were going to be offers. Then they came to a halt at the employment verification stage.

The only thing I can think of is that I didn’t include every single job from my past and/or the dates were not perfectly aligned. The problem is I don’t remember the exact details. Some of them are out of commission, others I have no way of connecting them to prospective employers today and still others are overseas. Add to this: it’s civil service positions.

Any insight?

International Experience from Over Ten Years Ago

I am gearing up for a background check / verification of employment that I don’t know how will pan out. Reason: some have gone out of business, others are international, one has expanded while I was part of the very early founding team. The job I’m vying for is a civil service position. How much do I have to worry?

Day after rejection email same job reposted. Apply again?

Really great interview, references checked and multiple positions open. I didn’t get the job *but* I got a rejection email encouraging me to “continue to review and apply for job vacancies” where they shared a link to subscribe for job listings. The next day the job I didn’t get was reposted.

Apply again or move on? This is an ideal role.

State hiring confusion- what now?

If I applied for a state of Michigan job on a Friday, interviewed a month later, had all my references called after what seemed a positive interview and now almost month later still it says “selection process completed” but the date is three days after the date of my application - what does that mean?
