Hi guys. I'm working on a bitmap-to-SVG tool for my web based SVG editor. It is based on Potrace. It works on multiple colour regions and outputs an SVG stack.

I've tried it against others like VTracer and it performs similarly or even more accurately in some cases. Also works of single colour outlines and gradient fills.

This feature will be part of a comprehensive SVG Editor Suite that I'm looking to roll out for Beta testing within next couple of weeks.

What features do you expect of a bitmap vectorizer?

I'm making a free online SVG Editor with CAD-like parametric constraints

I'm currently developing a free comprehensive SVG editor that has the with the capability to define parametric constraints/relations:

- Distance between vertices on a path / shape

- Distance between vertices of multiple separate paths or shapes

- Edge length

- Angle between adjacent edges

- Distance between vertices and canvas guides

- Pin vertices to canvas

- Parallel and perpendicular constraint

Constraints will work in a similar way to CAD tools like SolidWorks

I will be releasing a Beta version within the coming weeks

Just a couple questions:

- Does this sound useful?

- What features would you want to see in this app?

Other features implemented:

- Bezier pen tool

- Curvature tool

- Shape primitives (Rectangle, Line, Ellipse, Polgon, Star)

- Free draw with primitives auto recognition

- 2d to 3d extrude

- 2-point Perspective tool

- Shape builder inspired by Illustrator

- Radial repeat, grid repeat, repeat along path

- Art brush

- Custom corner profile for rectangles (Bevelled, Stepped, Superellipse, Rounded)

- Pathfinder options

- Select by colour, similar shapes

- Text tool

- Stroke to path, text to path

- Export JPEG, PNG, SVG, Illustrator, PDF

I created a Vector SVG creation online app

https://tkir97.github.io/VectorStudio/

I’ve been building a browser-based vector graphics editor a bit like Adobe Illustrator for poor people, and I’d really appreciate some outside feedback on how it feels to use. This is mainly an educational / school project.

It currently supports things like:

- Shape drawing and editing

- Selection and vertex/direct-selection tools

- Pen and Free Draw tools

- Smart Guides, snapping and equal-spacing feedback

- Pathfinder/boolean operations

- Offset Path

- Gradients and stroke controls

- Text tools and text-to-outline conversion

- Layers

- Undo/redo history

- Multiple canvas tabs

- Rulers and guides

- Local autosave

- .SVG/.PNG/.AI export

I’m mainly looking for feedback on the actual editing experience and also the feature list

In particular:

  • Does selecting and moving objects feel intuitive?
  • Are the handles, contextual menus and Smart Guides useful or distracting?
  • Are there any interactions that feel confusing or frustrating?
  • What important vector-editing feature feels missing?
  • If you use Illustrator or similar software, what immediately feels “wrong” compared with those tools?
  • Is there anything in the UI you’d simplify, move or remove?

It’s still very much a work in progress, so bugs and rough edges are expected, and obviously it's not going to be anywhere near as good as Illustrator so don't expect that.

Also doesn't work on mobile properly so don't try.

I made a lightweight free GeoJSON web app

https://tkir97.github.io/GeoWorkbench/

I made this as other ones that I found online didn't have the features that I required for creating custom overlay shapes easily. It is a work in progress and I will be adding more capabilities to it. Hopefully it is useful to some of you.

Please feel free to test it and I would appreciate feedback or feature suggestions.

I made a Geospatial overlay drawing web app. Would really appreciate someone to test it

Probably kind of niche and not very useful to most people, but if you have a moment to test it I would much appreciate it.

https://tkir97.github.io/GeoWorkbench/

Use cases:

Operational planning: draw routes, racetracks, circles, zones, exclusion areas, search areas, or holding patterns directly on a map and measure them.

Aviation / maritime planning: racetracks, headings, nautical-mile dimensions, circles, and corridors

GeoJSON authoring: create, edit, import, clean up, and export Point, LineString, and Polygon data for use in other mapping systems, web apps, or GIS tools.

Geofencing and zone design: create service areas, restricted zones, operational boundaries, coverage areas, or custom curved boundaries using the Bézier tools.

Route and corridor design: build straight and curved paths, then export them as standard GeoJSON LineStrings.

Area and distance estimation: compare polygon areas, line lengths, circle sizes, and racetrack dimensions while working.

Rapid map annotation: create labelled shapes for briefings, proposals, incident maps, site plans, or internal discussions without setting up a GIS project.

I would appreciate any feature suggestions or if you come across any bugs or errors.

Currently not optimised for mobile
