Why did Katriona Tamin get written off?
So I’m currently doing a chronological watch though of SVU and hadn’t seen a lot of the newer seasons (20-27). But was pleasantly surprised when Kat Tamin joined the SVU unit. Not only is Jamie Hyder stunning, but I found out of a lot of the detectives they have brought in during the new era of the show, that she had a lot of substance to her. I personally think she had a point of view and reason for doing the job and was really just a badass. Her episode centered around her boxing studio was so interesting and gave Kat more life/story (not because a SA occurred at her boxing studio but I found that It made sense she was a boxer and helped to flesh her character out). I really wish she was not written off the show as I think she had staying power. Unlike Grace Muncy who I’m not only glad had only one season, but also was shocked when Finn made a comment about Liv seeing herself in Muncy. Kat was much more down to Earth and is someone I think would have been fun to follow for a long period of time like we got to with Liv. Just my opinion, but another other Kat Tamin enjoyers?
