Working in Nuclear Power

Delete if not the right place for this. Sorry in advance if so.

So I have a lot of questions for people within the Nuclear Power system. I am looking to have a possible career change. I am thinking of going to college for an Associate Degree with a focus on Nonlicensed Operator. I have googled, googled, and googled but I still have questions I believe others could help answer. I am in the US. One question I have is the actual pay for a starting NLO. Anyone that is willing to answer questions it will be greatly appreciated.

Radium Compass

I frequently check my local antique stores. Every few weeks or so. One I've found a few pieces at my wife and I visited. I looked through most of the store making an offer on a radium wristwatch, they refused my offer. Towards the end my wife walks and I follow when my radiacode which was in my pocket while I surveyed with my GMC 600+. My Radiacode triggers my alert. I pull out my Radiacode and walk in a few directions thinking it was a person since it didnt seem close to any items. (My area has a lot of hospitals and I pick up Tc 99M and SM 153 on a regular basis) no matter the direction my CPM went down. I choose to ignore it and keep walking till I look at the wrist watch again and then pay for my wife's item. My wife then drew me to the otherside of the counter with our daughter my Radiacode alert went off on my phone. I knew at this time something was going on. I look at the counter and see the outline of an old compass. I didnt even need my detector anymore I knew this was it. US Corps of Engineers Us Army Compass. The compass was fairly priced as well. I caught my Whale. This has been a compass I've thought of buying on eBay many times
