MICAT 2027 intake

Hi guys!
Non-engineer female here (Fashion & Design background, ~10 months work ex), currently preparing for CAT 2026.
Of course, a part of me still dreams of getting into BLACKI, but I randomly discovered MICA and for the first time thought… wait… this feels like my place? 😭 The whole creativity, branding, consumer psychology, and storytelling side of an MBA genuinely excites me.
Can someone explain the MICAT process like I’m five? 😭 How do you prepare for it alongside CAT, when should I start, and how is MICA’s reputation outside the marketing/advertising world?
Any tips/resources would be super helpful. Thanks! :)

Is VARC1000 by Gejo Sir worth it with 4–5 months left for CAT?

I've enrolled in TIME, and while I'm happy with their Quant and LRDI, I'm finding the VARC teaching/material a bit vague.

I'm currently scoring around 30–35 in VARC, and since I'm a non-engineer, I really want to make VARC my strongest section.

I've heard a lot about VARC1000 by Gejo Sir. With only 4–5 months left for CAT, is it still worth getting? Did it genuinely help improve your scores?

Also, if you have any other VARC resources or tips that worked really well for you, I'd love to hear them.

ISB - GMAT PROCESS???

Hi everyone,

I've been focusing solely on CAT so far, and I honestly know almost nothing about the GMAT or the ISB application process.

If I'm targeting ISB's 2027 intake, what's the latest/farthest I can take the GMAT and still apply on time? I haven't started GMAT prep yet, so I'm worried I might already be late.

Also, does ISB accept CAT scores for its flagship PGP, or is the GMAT/GRE mandatory?

If anyone has gone through this process or has any advice on how to plan alongside CAT prep, I'd really appreciate your guidance. Thanks!

Fashion Design Graduate Preparing for CAT 2026

Fashion Design Graduate Preparing for CAT 2026

Hi everyone! I'm a female, non-engineer (Fashion Design) preparing for CAT 2026.

Profile:

  • 10th: 91.4%
  • 12th (PCM): 87%
  • Bachelor's (Fashion Design): 6.3 CGPA
  • ~7–8 months of work ex in e-commerce merchandising

Had a few questions:

  1. Does being a female + non-engineer has some weightage in MBA admissions?
  2. How common is it for design/fashion graduates to make it to top B-schools (IIMs, FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, etc.)?
  3. Will my 6.3 CGPA hurt my chances significantly?
  4. Post-MBA, are recruiters receptive to candidates with a fashion design + e-commerce/merchandising background?

Would love to hear from people with similar backgrounds or anyone who's seen such profiles at top B-schools.
