I just downloaded xDrip on my Pixel 10 pro, trying to use in companion mode but it's saying the app needs permissions and my phone is blocking those settings, how do I connect my G7 to xDrip?

I just got diagnosed diabetic, one doctor said type 1, one said type 2. I didn't get any information on diet or anything and was told to wait a few weeks for the endocrinologist to call me. My blood sugar has been in the 20s (currently 28 mmol) for a few days and they didn't give me insulin at the emergency room (my doctor told me to go).
How could it be type 2 if I am young and healthy? I eat a veggie and protein forward diet, I home cook all my meals, I exercise 6x a week, get 10/15 000 steps a day, I am nowhere near overweight. I don't even eat sugar.
Is there any possibility it's type 2? What can I do to help if so, I thought I was already doing everything right?
