For four years now, someone or something has been getting into my grandmother’s house. Today, her smart speaker said: "I’ll find your number and call you. We need to talk."

This is happening in Russia. My grandmother lives alone about 1.5 hours away from me and my parents.

For about 4 years, weird things have been happening in her house. She used to hide cookies under the carpet, but when she came back, they were always broken. Just broken. Nothing stolen. At first, we thought it was mice, but it escalated.

About a month ago, she installed a new, heavy-duty lock on her door. The next day, she came home and found the lock unscrewed from the inside and almost broken. Someone definitely tried to get in but failed.

We had peace for a month.

But today it got worse.

She came home and found:

  1. The cookies were broken again.

  2. Someone painted a perfectly straight BLACK LINE on her wall with paint.

  3. The scariest part: We bought her a Yandex "Alisa" smart speaker (like Alexa) for her birthday. She says it suddenly started talking BY ITSELF. It said two phrases:

    · "Don't call me Alisa."

    · "I will find your phone number and call you. We need to talk."

My grandmother is terrified. She doesn't know how to use apps or settings. Someone might have hacked her WiFi and is playing sounds through the speaker, or someone is getting inside.

We are going to install hidden cameras. Do you have any idea what this could be? Has anyone experienced a hacked smart speaker talking to them like this?

I will post updates if anything else happens.

Just in case: sorry if I posted this in a subreddit that isn't meant for this kind of thing, this is my first post.
