Why did baku start to value his friends instead of manipulate them? I thought he was always chill with people like kaji but apparently he manipulates them and all of a sudden changes? why is this? Sorry I havent read manga in a hot minute.

Apologies if this question has been answerd in the manga, I havent read for a year. I thought Baku lived for the thrill of the gamble and after air poker, realized the value of his allies. So why in the end was his final goal world peace?
