Sooooo yeah. I'm new to the Guard. Wondering if any of you converted to Warrant in the Guard, and how long it took for NGB to convert you.

Backstory:

Spent the last 2.5 years pursuing a conversion as a non-AV Reserve CPT to NG AV Warrant. Been a real tough road.

NGB hasn't converted me even though my packet has been sitting there for over 3 months now. They are the last step IOT get orders generated for Rucker. Received a call from J1 saying I lost my school slot for July due to NGB not converting/approving(?) me in time, and they won't entertain it until FY27...

Spent all year planning to move. Have to cancel housing, my U-haul, reverse my renters insurance, and try to get my first months rent back that I already paid. Not too happy.

I decided to stop being POOR and purchased a 14.5" G$ Super Duty Mod 1. Currently, I'm stuck between a SiCo Velos K or a CAT KK for suppressing this beauty of a rifle. Some thoughts of mine below:

• I've considered (and am still sort of considering) the Hux 556k/TI, but I'm not sure the $1,300 price tag is worth it when there are lots of other good cans out there for less.
• I don't care about flash reduction too much (I'm not a SOF operator and not planning on getting into firefights at night).
• I don't feel like tracking down and waiting on a hype beast can (Tisha/Rhodie) but they seem cool.
