Chances of being able to go to residency this summer (waitlisted)
Hi everyone!
I’m currently in my 2nd year of the CMHC program at Capella and on track to go to residency this summer. Unfortunately, the course is waitlisted. I already spoke to my advisor and got on the waitlist, but I already got accommodation and the flight (all non-refundable).
My advisor said most likely something might open up in mid-July but it’s hard to tell. Realistically, what are my chances are being able to go to residency this summer? It’s on me for over preparing and not checking to see if I get in to the course first, but I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit disappointed at the possibility of noting being able to get in and attend.
Before anyone asks: yes, pre-registration was turned on yet I didn’t get into a section (spoke to my advisor and technical support about this, they don’t know what happened—it could be an internal error during registration), i’m in good academic standing. My advisor said I did everything I could on my end, all I can do now is just wait and see.
If anyone was in a similar situation like this, can you please let me know how it turned out for you? Like were you able to go or had to push it back? MI case, I live overseas so if I can’t go this summer, I most likely have to wait until winter at the earliest or summer next year. It really sucks, but I am hoping for the best.
