Corn/popcorn

Summer is coming and I miss corn on the cob. I also miss movie theater popcorn.

That said, I have learned that

  1. Japan has NAILED corn flavor. They have several "corn potage" flavored snacks. Tastes just like a can of creamed corn (in the good way!). My favorite are the Turtle chips. They have them at World Market and a few other places, and they're awesome.

  2. Bafflingly, I'm able to eat PopCorners. I went slow and drank a lot at first, but they seem to be processed enough to not be a problem. I think it's like the difference between actual potato chips and Pringles (potato chips and fries are also a bit of an issue for me; have to chew and drink a lot). Brave the PopCorners at your own risk, ofc. I'm hoping I can take a bag of the sea salt flavored ones to the movies and ask them to put the "butter" on them.

I feel an exceptional amount of resentment about not being able to have popcorn and mushrooms (not simultaneously). I've been okay with most other stuff. Those two things are the ones I find frequently piss me off.

For the most part, it's actually the mountains/countryside scene, and then every couple of minutes, it switches to the urban background **and an entirely different song** for just a couple of seconds. It's a bit jarring and kinda killing my chill. :( I tried exiting and coming back in. Is this a me problem or a channel problem?
