Dealing with excessive sleep after getting my Nexplanon implant

I (21NB) have had my Nexplanon for a little over 2 months (March 20th was the insert date). Since then, there has been a spike in my sleep/sleep habits. I'm sleeping more than before I had the implant inserted. I wasn't aware that Nexplanon could cause such a reaction and affect sleep this way. I used to sleep only 6 to 7 hours. Now I am getting anywhere between 9 and 12 hours, sometimes more if I fall asleep during the day. I also tend to feel sleepy even after having a full night's rest.

Has anyone else dealt with this type of side effect early on when adjusting to their implant? Will it eventually even out after the 3 to 6-month adjustment period?

(Please note! I don't necessarily hate it as someone who has struggled with sleep since childhood, but it has me worried for my health if it causes me to sleep too much, and what that could do)
