I just got myself my daily driver Mk7 Golf 2.0 TDI with 4 (potential) ditchfinders (Laufenn). The tyre treads are at 3-4mm on all 4 tyres - I used a gauge.

I'm starting new work next week and would drive up to London from East Sussex couple of times a week. 100mile round trip.

Should I:

1. Invest in a good all season tyre right away

2. Wait for 5-6 weeks until this summer runs out

3. Change it before MOT in December?

I'm also would like to understand whether all season tyres are widely used in the UK. If so, what does the community recommend?
