Recommendation for Class?

Hi—this is a bit of a specific one 😭. I’m an incoming freshman, and I finally got a schedule I was happy with, until I got notice today that my writing seminar had been cancelled. Here is where it gets sticky: I don’t have control over my own registration because I maxed out my attempts, so I’m not going to be able to get any classes that are currently full, even if a spot does open up (because I will be too slow to it). Therefore, my question is: what class should I look to take as my fourth this fall semester? Every other writing seminar seems to be closed, along with Math 1300, which I was considering taking as a refresher of calc before I take 1070 in the spring. Thanks!

Is pursuing an UDD between Wharton and CAS worth it/manageable?

If I have a genuine curiosity in both sociology/philosophy and business analytics/management, is it worth applying to pursue a dual degree between the two?

My main concern is having enough free time to get work experience and also enjoy my time with friends. What do you think?

Maxed Out Registration Requests

As an incoming freshman, I have been trying very hard to get all the classes I want. This has meant setting up Penn Course Alerts and many, many failed registration submissions—where someone else has gotten the open seat in a class before me. However, I have recently been met with the error message on Path@Penn of “Maximum number of registration attempts reached.” I am no longer able to register for classes. I’ve gotten in contact with advising and OUR, and they are of very little help, telling me that this restriction is “hardwired” into they system (can something ever actually even be “hardwired”???). Anyways, I was wondering if this has ever happened to anyone else before, and if so, what should I do? Thanks
