Idk I thought a little tweak like this would make his design more apparent and clear

I got alot of comments saying that saying that they liked the overly vibrant color palette. If you like it that's perfectly fine but it goes against the softer esthetic of flower children hippies style from the 70s.

Mostly it bothered me that the Inspiration for the character was not expressed enough in Its design and it had designs that actively went against its Inspiration.

To anyone that likes the original. no hate, like what you like, but I just felt dissatisfaction with how they went about her design given what her character was supposed to be.

Sorry it's a scrappy sketch I got so mad about character design I rushed the slideshow. Anyway I'll elaborate on my reasons.

Oversaturated Color Palette

Wendy's color palette has alot of colors that compete for your attention with one another. She's supposed to have the vibe of a 70s flower child but the designs of that era were super desaturated and but still vibrant, making use of relaxing mellow pastels. Meanwhile the value of her colors are all nearly identical with her colors all being super bright and poppy.

Personality

Her personality sucks, it's the same sassy woman personality. This is only driven home ten times more with her neutral animation of... just standing there with her hand on her hip. I thought since shes 70s themed she'd have a subtle kinda Louisiana smooth voice but she has the most basic American accent ever.

"Same Body Syndrome"

I dont truly have an issue with same body syndrome itself considering that generic design does more broadly appeal to women audiences. Her Face and Body having the "looks like every other woman" disorder is just a cherry on top of a badly designed brawler.

Little Things That Annoy Me

•Her goggles not being over her eyes, shes literally always flying why wouldn't she wear them.

•Her hair is not 70s, granted brawl stars style doesn't really support curly hair but then just make more little points.

•The weird crop top jacket thing. I dont even know what that is but it's not 70s and it's just more really bright tan to her design.

•why does she look like she drank 10 cups of coffee

This is a concept design for the Aquarium Trio. Humphrey is a controller brawler and also the manager of the aquarium. His design is based on a whale and his name is a reference to Hump Back Whales.

~MY ISSUE~

I have noticed that El Primo is kept forgotten and at the bottom of the meta for no reason after every single update.

~DAMIEN~

When Damien released, everyone immediately noticed that he was just a much better El primo. In fact, Primo was forced to the bottom of the meta while his copy brawler was considered S teir. Damiens Gameplay was almost exactly the same except now his jump forces players in and his main attack now has a damaging chain reaction that can punish teams that bunch up together.

~EDGAR~

This is not the first time that a brawler has copied El Primos base kit. Edgar in December of 2020 was released for FREE and was everywhere because he once again was a Broken El Primo clone. Short Range and a Jump for a super. As an extra more recent slap in the face The third round of buffies had only one trio. The Gift Shop Trio, The same trio that has the brawler that copied El Primos Kit and made Edgar Broken for months now. While El Primo has remained at the bottom for months because of Damien. So now there's two Brawlers at the top of the meta that stole Primos kit.

~SURGE'S BUFFIES~

I wasn't gonna say anything but the the newest round of buffies had the SuperHero Trio which has Surge. Which no disrespect for Surge I love surge but he's yet another brawler with a jump mechanic for a super.

~CONCLUSION~

So, to end off if el primo next brawl talk doesn't get buffies. Supercell will have one out of their millions of fans that will moderately upset with this observation.

In case your wondering what I based them on tank like they are, what abilities do they have that act tanky. What kind of a punch can they take.

This is not including brawlers that are Tanks that aren't under the Tank Class. Like Sam, 8-bit, Doug, and Pam

Alot of people are iffy on Meg having extremely low health but that's why buffed her in other ways by giving more damage capabilities as well as a sheild gadget and star power.

Also her Main form IS the tank so you'd rarely lose enough health to be in that scenario.

But if your still worried about it there are precautions you can take in place. :)

Made these as a hypothetical because I kept seeing the question of what a collab like this would look like.

I know the art is "lackluster" but truthfully, I think These definitely help her be an ACTUAL tank instead of a dirty poser. Ill probably repost this with better visual clarity later.
