I don't like not wearing the tail no more

Does anyone relate to discovering mermaiding and realizing that not swimming with your tail feels weird and uncomfy and not as fun??

I tried a few months after i got my first monofin (that one finis makes for kids, i cant believe my full grown size 11 feet fit fairly well in the pockets) and i hated it. It felt like someone stole my kneecaps🤣🤣

This week, i tried in the ocean because i needed my tail to dry out a bit before taking it on the train home...and again, i felt uncomfortably lighter, so i said f it and put the tail back on🤣🤣🤣

My fave pic from the Mermaid Parade

I have been swimming at coney island in my tail since memorial day, and a couple weeks was the Mermaid Parade! What a blast!!

Up until 2024, i didnt know how to swim. I taught myself because I've dreamt of being a mermaid since i was 10.

Today i went to the beach with my tail, and for the first time i touched the ocean🥰🥰🥰🥰 its too cold for me to swim for now, but by july i think I'll be ready!
