Up to this point, it's been alts all the way. So far Strega Verde was my favourite (having won a previous shootout with Luxardo Del Santo).

Everything changed tonight. Thanks to a lovely 50th gift from my wonderful colleagues, I finally have on hand real Green Chartreuse.

I did a side-by-side with Strega Vs Chartreuse (0.75oz each Tanq, Luxardo Maraschino, lime and Strega/GC, shaken and served with a Luxardo cherry). It's an absolute world of difference. GC is soooo nice. I was not expecting so much difference. It's almost disappointing that expensive really wins!

Will continue exploring alts, but at least for now I have 70cl - 0.75oz left of the real thing!

Anyone have any expertise of tweaking alts with Elixir Vegetal??

I enjoyed the Lysander event. Only playing since a few months , so I knew I would never unlock at event 1.

I did some prep from recommended characters, and got some core ones to silver 1. I was happy to get to 200 shards.

Typically how long will it be to the next event? And will the next event be the same tracks as the first? Or completely different requirements?

Once a code is collected, are the energy rewards safe indefinitely in the Inbox? Or will they expire at some point?

As a diabetic who is also on a diet, I'm currently strictly counting calories. Whilst I can jiggle my numbers for the day and have a cocktail in the evening, I'm looking for ways to reduce calories.

Does anyone have any experience with sugar-free simple syrup alternatives? Either commercially available or making them yourself?

Have been reading about making simple from either erythritol or xylitol (both of which I have used in low cal baking), but it sounds like recrystallization can be an issue, and that xanthan may need to be added for mouth feel.

Any feedback would be appreciated from folk who tried this (or other methods) before I just jump in and start experimenting.

FWIW, I would initially be thinking about making old fashioneds, sours and so.

Is Laviscus useful outside of GR? I just unlocked him, but I've only been playing a couple of months. I don't have the other characters needed for his GR team, and I just get hammered by most GR boss anyway at the moment.

Is he worth leveling for other modes? Or should I just wait until later on the game when I'm higher level and have the right characters to make a good team?
