Linkedin BS posts

Why do people feel the need to post this crap. Like this story seems completely made up. The chances of water spilling on your bag, seeping into your calculator and breaking it are very low. Worst of all CFA institute liked the post

L2 post exam thoughts

Overall went pretty good.

Like many people said PM felt a step up from AM but still ok. There were a couple of qs I couldn't answer.

Time was also good had enough time to finish and review all the qs. Mocks were 60's first attempt and 85+ couple months later.

Feel I over prepped doing around 700hours but better than being under prepped. Id say in scope with CFAI mocks

Question on Intercorporate Investments Equity vs Acquisiton Method

I know Net Income is the same under the two methods, but ive seen conflicting information on Equity.

On the onehand ive seen questions say Equity is higher under Acquisition method due to NCI, which makes sense.

On the otherhand ive seen some questions say they are the same I guess parents equity (Equity - NCI) which also makes sense.

My question is on the exam what would be right, lets say the question is something like 'Is the statement correct Equity is the same under both Acquisition and Equity Method?' Assuming they dont specify parents equity or shareholder equity?

It's the one area of the curriculum where I'm struggling more than most others. Does anyone have any specific tips or resources?
