Regardless of which side of the Iron Curtain, but let's say the Gate opened somewhere in the world between November 1945 and 1960, could access to resources beyond the Gate have potential to speed up or exceed the goals of post war rebuilding efforts like the Marshall Plan? In retrospect, they already do with the whole Imperial Roman Schtick, but let's say that some parties- aligned with Zorzal, Pina, Diabo, or independent- look through our history books and read about the ideologies that failed or long since perished in our world? Hell, some of these still persist, but I still want to ask the question. For example; Communism, Fascism, Feudalism, National-Socialism, Religious Zealotry, things like that.
Hear me out. Basically every GATE Fanfic starts with the Imperial army storming through 5 minutes after it appears on the other side, commit a slaughter, and are slaughtered themselves by the opposing army between 20 minutes to an hour later. But, let's say the gate opens and no one on Falmart finds out until someone stumbles across it. Since the closest settlements are Coda Village and the Koan Forrest, that could take weeks to months, and even longer for the Empire to gather and send an army 100,000 strong. Until then, what if a single person, or even a small group of people (on either side) walk through the Gate first?
