Looking for a game that really gives me a strong sense of progression, growth and satisfaction for my character/save/playthrough.
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a game or games that gives me that dopamine hit when I look at my character/save file/world and think to myself "damn I did all this and I am satisfied". That feeling of satisfaction and growth keeps me playing.
For context I love MMO's, RPG's/JRPG's and sandbox games. I love Warframe and Monster Hunter for the sense of growth and progression these games give me and the learning curve of them and build crafting keeps me coming back for more, plus the progression of your character and seeing it become a powerhouse is like crack for me.
I'm not a really big fan of rougelikes and I'm sure this genre fills this suggestion perfectly, but I really don't like the gameplay loop of rougelikes: start run, get items to get stronger, finish run, unlock stuff to help you in future runs, repeat. I don't enjoy starting over and over to get that sense of growth.
