COMPUTEX 2026: Snapdragon C Platform, Snapdragon X Series momentum, mini PCs, and the year of agents

Coming out of COMPUTEX, we dropped a mix of updates across PCs, AI, and devices, so here’s a quick recap of everything we shared:

  • We launched a new platform called Snapdragon C, aimed at more accessible laptops. The idea is pretty simple: solid performance + long battery life for everyday use, not just premium devices.   • On the higher end, there’s continued momentum with Snapdragon X Series PCs. New devices are coming in different form factors, including 2-in-1s, and there are now 20+ Copilot+ PCs using X2 Series chips across partners like ASUS, Lenovo, and HP.
  • One of the more interesting form factor shifts: mini PCs. ASUS introduced the Ascent QN10, which is basically a compact desktop powered by Snapdragon X2 Elite (the debut of the processor in this form factor), with an NPU capable of ~80 TOPS.   • The big picture takeaway from Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano Amon's keynote: 2026 is shaping up to be the “year of agents.” The idea is that AI is moving beyond prompt/response and into systems that can actually take action across devices (PC, phone, wearables, etc.).   • Out of COMPUTEX, there’s also a lot of discussion around how AI scales from here. Instead of just throwing more hardware at the problem, the focus is shifting toward:
    • better performance per watt
    • more efficient inference
    • distributing AI workloads across device + edge + cloud

Overall, things are moving away from single-device experiences toward something more connected and continuous across everything you use. Curious how people here are thinking about this—especially around device vs. cloud tradeoffs.
