Anyone ever seen one of these? C.A. Ahlstrom plane

I was given this old wood body hand plane and I was planning on restoring it. I always like to see if I can find any original pictures or information online when I restore tools to give me a frame of reference for what it should look like, but I can’t find anything on this brand. I can see that there’s some text on the blade, but I can’t quite make it out because of the rust. Could this just be a one-off that was made by an individual, or has anyone else encountered something made by C.A. Ahlstrom?

Do I need a retaining wall?

This is the embankment that runs all the way down the ditch in front of my house. As I was trimming it today, the thought occurred to me that there’s nothing keeping it from sliding down into the ditch aside from roots and compaction. We’ve had some pretty heavy rainfall since we’ve lived here and haven’t had issues with it moving any noticeable amount, but I was wondering if this seems likely in the future.

I think a retaining wall would look good right here, and it would be nice to not have to trim it any more since it’s too steep for my lawnmower, but that’s a lot of money to invest in something unless I’m really concerned about the structural integrity.

Also, I don’t know if this is pertinent info, but that embankment is the highest point in my yard. When it rains heavily, water either flows down into the ditch or the opposite direction towards and beyond my house.

Any opinions would be appreciated!
