Identification update.

I was sold what was assured to me to be chilli rasbora. They've been in the aquarium for a couple days now and a few of them seem to be coloring up and are obviously chili Rasbora but I believe I have a mix of Phoenix and least in there as well although I'd like your opinion. Perhaps they're still very young, stressed and malnourished? Is it possible that these are all chili rasbora?

I've been feeding baby brine shrimp and they seem happy. I'm just not sure if I should contact the seller yet or wait a little while.

I've read some other posts that seem to indicate that very young Chili Rasbora often are indistinguishable from Phoenix and least Rasbora, so I'm trying to remain optimistic.

Help identifying. Chili Rasbora or Phoenix rasbora?

Hey guys I just got my order of my first ever chili rasboras? I talked to the supplier and he assured me that he knew the difference between Phoenix and chili and that there would be no Phoenix Rasbora in with my order. I think he was potentially full of shit and as far as I can tell I've got at least a couple of Phoenix rasbora. They just went in so they haven't colored up yet and I'll be keeping an eye on them but I'm wondering what your guy's thoughts are?

Low oxygen?

I've been adding botanicals and I'm wondering if the oxygen levels in my tank are getting low? I noticed this guy seems to be breathing fast and another one had been surfing up to the surface and back down. Does this look like rapid breathing to you guys? I just did a 20% water change after noticing this and increased my surface agitation.

Southeast Asian biotope progress.

I'm slowly building towards a Southeast Asian Blackwater nano biotope and these little guys are along for ride! They really seem to be enjoying their new botanicals.

Help with cloudy water.

Hey guys, I'm dealing with this cloudy water for the last few days. At first I thought it was fine debris from the sand substrate which I didn't wash before I put in, but now I'm not so sure. I've added filter floss and accu-clear but it doesn't seem to be helping. I also just completed a 30% water change before taking this picture. I'm guessing it's some sort of bacterial bloom? Do any of you have advice on how to clear this?

Help identifying my new (and first ever) noodles!

Hey everyone! Long time lurker but this is my first post. I'm running a Blackwater Nano Aquarium that will be housing some chili Rasbora. Dwarf Kuhli loaches (Pangio cuneovirgata) have been high on my wish list as an ideal addition to my set up but they have been next to impossible to find. I was at my lfs today and took a look at the "Banded Kuhli loachs" and noticed these five little guys which looked quite a bit different from the rest and were probably less than half the size. I'm not an expert and I'm not sure if these are indeed a dwarf Kuhli, perhaps they're just young Pangio semicincta? There is one in the group that looks to have longer banding than the others so maybe he is different? If you guys could take a look and give me your best guess as to what I may have here that would be great!

Thanks

Least Rasbora damaged? Disease?

Hey guys I've got two Rasbora in my school that seem a little less than healthy.

The first one looks like it's been damaged or scarred? The stripe on the side of it seems to be missing only on one side. Other than that he's acting healthy. The other one in one of these pictures is darker than the rest and I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with this?

Any thoughts?
