Profile Review: Realistic interview chances at INSEAD / LBS / M7?
Would appreciate a realistic assessment of my chances of getting interview calls from INSEAD, LBS and M7.
Profile: Indian male, 27 | GMAT Focus: 705 | Undergrad: 6.89/10
Experience:
● ~1 year Software Engineering/ML: Worked on a B2B enterprise technology product, including exposure to building ML/data products.
● ~1 year APM – Fintech/Insurance: Worked on 0→1 B2C digital products, with ownership across product development, funnels and conversion.
● ~1.5 years Product – Logistics Tech: Built products for the logistics/trucking ecosystem, with a focus on onboarding, engagement and retention. Promoted during my tenure.
● ~1 year+ Founding Team – Consumer Tech Startup: Currently part of the founding team of an early-stage consumer marketplace, working across 0→1 product, growth and marketplace development.
My career has been almost entirely India-focused. The only international exposure on my resume is an internship where I worked with international clients.
Post-MBA goal: Continue in Product/Tech, ideally
moving into the US or European market at a leading global technology company. Industry-agnostic at this point.
Previous application: Applied to LBS R2 last year and was rejected without interview.
I know my GPA is a weakness and that the Indian male pool is extremely competitive. I’m primarily trying to
calibrate my expectations for interview chances at:
INSEAD | LBS | M7
Is LBS worth a reapplication, and how realistic are these schools given my profile?
