Hello, I’m having trouble with my rendering of the background and the look of the background itself. Tips or suggestions on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

I’m having trouble of making the background work. I want it to be monochrome (purple) so it doesn’t take eyes away from the figures in the foreground but not so devoid of impact that it looks weak. Does anyone have ideas on what I should do?
