At the risk of sounding like a total Karen, I’ve gotten pretty fed up with people ripping down the community path on motorized bikes going 20-30mph - it’s dangerous af.
The blue bikes are one thing (those seem to top out at 12-15mph), and also have bells to give others a heads up when passing. I’m talking about people’s personal, class 3 or “other” e-bikes that are essentially motorcycles.
As a jogger, pedestrian and cyclist who frequents that path, it doesn’t seem like the right place to be whipping around on one of those things- I’ve had many personal close calls. Not to mention, there’s plenty of more vulnerable people out there (w/ strollers, dogs, etc.).
I’ve seen too many road rage incidents go south to want to confront any of them head on, and it seems like there’s no actual enforcement of this from authorities etc. Curious to hear others’ thoughts.
