I messed up and now I'm sad

I'm on day 28. I knew how to get to the last room, I had the basement ready, the antichamber door open, and a hallway leading to it. Everything was perfect. I was just low on steps but I had a kitchen, this was it. I get back, AND I NEVER ACTUALLY STEPPED ON THE 8TH RANK, AHHHH

I wanna play blue prince and this applications seems very useful
