Is this worth it or should I wait till Black Friday cyber monday?

Im looking to purchase a new GPU, either a 5070 ti or a 5080. The main difference would be pricing, I would prefer to not have the subtotal be over 1000$ for a 5070 ti, and the 5080 not be over 1200$.

Earlier this month the 5070 ti was at 1050-1110$ and 5080 around 1250$. This is where I was seriously debating purchasing the 5080.

My main question is to determine what is considered a good price point. I have a pc that works great, just want an upgrade. I currently have a 6950xt that has heat issues and randomly crash, about 3 years old.

What would be a good price point for both the 5070 TI and 5080? Do you think Black Friday will have a better price? What would be a good price difference to justify purchasing 5080 over 5070 ti?. Obviously if 5080 is under 1150 or at 1100$ I’m purchasing it, but is 1200$ considered too much or 1300$ too much?

Price isn’t an issue, but I’m trying to determine what would be best price per dollar. Both would work great for my gaming needs, but don’t want to spend extra if I do not need to.

Edit: also the 6950xt is insanely loud, even when adjusting the fan curve. I would like to replace and sell off the GPU versus repasting it.

Also just want nvidia, tried AMD GPU for a few years, prefer nvidia.

Will prices increase by Black Friday/ cyber Monday and be back to around 900$ for 5070 ti or 1100-1200 for a 5080? Or is that optimistic and will most likely be insanely higher price?
