Which hotel (area) do you recommended based on the following parameters.
Hey - I have addled myself with reviewing hotels in Tokyo, would appreciate any insights into these 2 hotels / areas for a family of 3, 2 adults and a 9-year-old.
We have 5 nights in Tokyo in Dec / Jan before we go skiing.
Looking to do normal family friendly stuff, no day trips.
Kid is a decent, seasoned traveller but also conscious that it is good to be able to get back to your hotel to rest / recharge during the day.
1. Tokyu Stay Shinjuku - $3894
Triple room, 34m, small kitchen area (we will likely eat out every night)
2. Shinagawa Prince Hotel - $2553
Main Tower 6th-16th Floor Corner Twin Room with Sofa
I would love to stay in Shinjuku area for convenience - aware this is 1.2km from there - and atmosphere. We have lived in NYC so not stressed by noise and buzz.
Friend recommended Prince Hotel as family friendly but conscious it's a bit of a journey back and we could take or leave the facilities.
But an extra $1300 will cover a lot of the holiday also.
Any help appreciated!
