Zwift max weight

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a Zwift Ride + kickr core, but I'm currently 141 kg (311 lbs), so I'm above the official maximum rider weight according to Zwift.

I'm actively losing weight as I was 172 kg (379 lbs) in november 2025 and I am still going strong thanks to healthier eating and regularly working out (boxing, walking, zwifting)

I expect to be around 135 kg (298 lbs) in about 8 weeks, with the goal of getting below the Zwift limit before the end of the year.

The last few months I've been on a spinning bike that connects with Zwift. It works, but it doesn't support ERG mode, automatic resistance and gradient simulation. Also it maxes out at 400 watts on Zwift that I can easily get. I have a lot of fun Zwifting but really miss the benefits of the Ride (I think). That's one of the main reasons I'm considering the Zwift Ride.

A few things about my situation:

  • I ride seated almost all the time.
  • I don't do all-out standing sprints or throw the bike around.
  • My main focus is structured training and weight loss.

I know some of the positive stories with riders that weigh more than the recommended weight on Reddit, but can't find any different stories. I'd appreciate experiences from some of the heavier riders so I can choose wisely if I want to buy the Ride now or a few months later😄

My questions
If you've been riding above the weight limit without any issues, how has it been?
If you experienced problems, I'd like to hear those as well.

Thanks!
