It says "dem tapferen krieger" and "1914-1917" on it which means "to the loyal soldier" unsure if the person was just stationed for three years which happend often or if they died in 1917
this is a very old pocket knife owned by my Great grandfather who came from kayseri to cologne in 1903 when he was just 19 years old he was a carpenter and a shoemaker, this is The only information i have about him with a few pictures and this pocket knife which he owned plus some coats and hats from that era either owned by him or by my german relatives, i Would love to know more about this Pocket knife since it Seems to be made out of very high quality materials Including The engraving.
