Please help! puppy trying to cause harm to herself
My great Dane puppy is great. We love her, she is crate trained, potty trained, good obedience, but she is actively trying to off herself on a daily basis.
She has an obsession with eating socks and non edible items. We have collected around 5-6 socks from outside in her poop, along with toy stuffing and other non edible items.
We feed her 5-6 cups a day, she always has access to Billy stocks and safe toys, she is always under our supervision, or in the crate, but if are not watching her for even 1 second it's like it is her sole mission to not just find and chew up socks and things, but swallow them and consume them.
Today she ate about a 6x6 inches of foam from her crate mat. So I induced vomiting and now I am desperately asking for help.
We have had puppies in the past but never dealt with something like this. And I don't even know who to ask for help, the vet? A trainer? If you have ever dealt with this, what should we do?
