It's getting better.

It's getting better.

My surgery was 7/27. My scar is starting to heal and belly button is healed pretty much. Swelling is going down. I'm pretty happy with my results. For reference I got the skin removed, I didn't need MR and opted to keep my flanks. No lipo.

PSA - abdominal binder

I know it's something simple. I just wanted to share this maybe it can help someone. I have a very short torso. The binder I got from the surgeon has one long thing of Velcro and is incredibly uncomfortable. I had a few of these after having my baby. Way more comfortable and easier to sleep in. They have two separate Velcro pieces and two extra on the side. It give you more control on how tight and the edges are rounded and don't stab you. Maybe someone is having trouble with theirs and needs something different. Obviously talk to your surgeon first.

Some pics 4dpo

I'm 4dpo, fluids in the bulb are yellow with a tint of pink. My belly button is scary but know it will go down. I'm bloated like heck. Not only have I had no bowel movement since surgery day, I started my period today 🥲. I'll upload a pic pre-baby belly. After baby belly and right now. I'm scared and happy at the same time. I will post one without the bandage once the swelling goes down, if anyone is curious.

What I got: a hip to hip incision, belly button transposition, no MR and no lipo. I had a lot of loose skin.

I did it.

On Monday, I got it done. I honestly expected more pain. Comparing it to my c-section, it's not as painful. I also didn't get MR because I didn't need it. That could be a reason why the pain isn't as bad as I expected. Today is my first shower since getting it and I'm excited to see my new belly. Walking hunched is what's getting me. I have size E breasts and walking hunched over with them hurts. Just wanted to share this. For anyone who is curious. I also don't drink or smoke according to my surgeon I should heal faster.
I've done some research preparing for this the last two years.

I got a walker, without it I wouldn't be able to move as much. Like I said my breasts are heavy and it doesn't help that I'm hunched over. Holding on to the walker keeps me balanced and takes some pressure off my back.

I've been drinking the juven drink mix to help aid in recovery.

I've stopped wearing pants, I noticed my pj pants push on my drains, since I'm home already and live with my husband and our toddler. I'm just gonna leave the cooter out.

With the compression piece on your abdomen, eating sucks. So eat tiny portions or drink your protein, digesting feels so uncomfortable.

Please don't do this on your own, have someone you trust help you. My husband set up everything for me in our guest room. He is sole parent right now. Sometimes I can't get off the bed, he has been incredibly helpful.

If you don't want to buy those drain holders. Nurse showed me a trick, he took two large diaper pins put them through the plastic loop and attached them to my pj top.

Once everything is off me, I will post my before and after pics. For anyone that wants to see results.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask I will try my best to answer them for you.

Maybe this isn't the right subreddit. However, it seems every time I've had a dream of a pregnancy it's come true. I'm at number 7, whether the pregnancy was wanted or not. I will either text or talk to the individual like hey I had a dream you were pregnant and they later find out they are, or had just found out they are. A few days ago, I had a dream of a couple I don't even speak to. I worked with the husband briefly. I dreamt his wife was pregnant with a baby boy. I told one of my friends that still has contact with the husband. He then told him that they were expecting. Is there a logical explanation for this?
